Adam Barrett
President and CEO
As the founder & sole owner of Terraine, Adam has built a solid reputation over the past 20 years as one of the most active and successful Real Estate Developers in Atlantic Canada. Adept at finding opportunities where other don’t, he and his group of companies are constantly evolving. Since his first real estate venture in 2005, while still an undergraduate student, he has grown his business from a one-man show into a multifaceted corporation. Under Terraine Capital, he now leads a team of over 400 people, managing over 300,000 square feet of industrial space, over 90 residential units and 100,000 square feet of office space while operating more than 28 diverse businesses. Adam is tirelessly working to create a team that is prepared to manage today, tomorrow and the future.
Greg Smith
Chief Operations Officer
Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of the Terraine group of companies, Greg is focused on helping guide strategic direction and providing support for our senior leadership team. An experienced business leader with over 25 years’ experience in various areas of senior management. He has a proven track record in developing leaders, building teams, and driving results. His extensive experience in operations, marketing, development, and change management gives Greg a unique business perspective. Greg is a a high energy, passionate and impactful senior leader that is committed to helping take Terraine to the next level.

Adam Baxter
President L&A Metal Works
As the President of L&A Metalworks, Adam is responsible for the end-to-end management and profitability of the manufacturing division of Terraine. Adam earned an MBA from Saint Mary's University Sobeys School of Business and started working for Terraine in January 2023. He brings with him over 10 years of experience working with J.D. Irving Limited. During this time, he progressed through several operations roles in the forestry industry, with his last role being the management of operations of the newest and most modernized White Pine sawmill in North America.

Alex Love
Director of Real Estate
Responsible for overseeing the overall growth of the Real Estate division within Terraine, Alex plays a key role in our acquisitions, mergers, partnership building and finding off-market investment opportunities. An experienced real estate professional spending the past 4 years as the Vice President of Accretive Realty Partners Inc., Alex has held key leadership roles with Accretive and managed the launch of Pantone Investment Management Inc. Alex has extensive experience in syndicated equity and facilitating debt, underwriting loans and delivering results in high-pressure situations.
Benjamin Wessel
Director of Finance
Responsible for overseeing our finance department, Ben brings a strong dedication to building internal controls, budgeting, and financial accountability. He is focused on vertically integrating our new acquisitions, and maintaining overall financial stability at Terraine. Ben is a collaborative thinker that believes in involving all areas of business to successfully achieve sustainable results.
Katherine Ryder-Burbidge
Director of Hospitality
Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and growth of our emerging Hospitality Division, Katheirne is a results-focused leader with over twenty years of senior management experience in the hospitality industry. She has a background in change management and leadership design, having worked in the non-profit, municipal, and federal government sectors.
Having participated in programs with both the Union Square Hospitality Group and Disney's Hospitality, she is a dedicated strategic thinker, allowing her to effectively manage the multi-faceted areas of this division. Over the past year Katherine successfully lead the launch of our flagship locations, including Tribeca Bar and Bistro, Envie and Bravado.

Matt Williams
Director of Landscaping & Pools
Responsible for managing the overall operations within the Landscape and Pool Divisions of Terraine, Matt began his career in landscaping over 20 years ago, since then he has been instrumental in designing and creating breathtaking landscape projects. In 2022 Matt joined Terraine where he was instrumental in launching Terra Pools and continues to leverage his extensive expertise and leadership to drive our Landscaping and Pool Division.

Director of Property and Tennant Support
Responsible for managing the residential and commercial real estate division of Terraine, Chris is focused on ensuring we deliver a consistently high standard of excellence at all of our properties and for all of our tenants. Chris joined Terraine in 2016 as a Property Manager, bringing with him over 15 years of experience in managing residential and commercial portfolios. His strategic and innovative approach to achieving optimal performance and tenant satisfaction sets the bar in real estate management and client engagement. Chris is instrumental in managing our aggressive growth.
